In short
This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or tracking tools. If you send a prayer request, the text goes by email to our pastor's mailbox and is not stored on this website.
Who is responsible
Amazing Grace Ministries Switzerland, a Tamil Reformed-evangelical congregation that meets in Chur and Sargans, is responsible for this website.
To reach us about your data, use the prayer form on the home page and say that your message is about privacy.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Cloudflare. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical details such as browser type and time of the request, so that the page can be delivered and attacks can be kept out. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. If you use the prayer form, Cloudflare also loads its Turnstile check (see “Prayer form” below).
Visitor statistics
We run no analytics or statistics script on this website. Cloudflare, which delivers the pages, keeps its own ordinary server-side traffic statistics (for example the number of requests and the countries they come from). They are not tied to any person, and nothing is stored on your device.
Cookies and your device
We set no cookies. The only things this website stores in your browser are two small choices that you make yourself: the colour theme and the language. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and you can delete them in your browser settings at any time.
Prayer form
If you send a prayer request, we receive what you type, and your email address if you add it. Please share only what you are comfortable with. A prayer request can reveal your faith, which is sensitive information, so we process it only because you send it to us on purpose (your consent).
To block automated spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is filling it in. The Turnstile script is loaded from Cloudflare only when you start using the form (for example when you click into a field). From then on Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser signals.
The text passes through Cloudflare's server function, which sends it by email through Resend, our email service, to our pastor's mailbox. We do not keep the text in a database or on this website. The email then stays in the mailbox, and Resend may keep technical delivery records for a limited time under its own rules. We use your message only to pray and, if you asked for it, to answer you.
Fonts
The fonts are stored on our own server. Your browser does not contact Google or any other font service.
Videos
Videos from YouTube are not loaded when you open the page. Only after you click the play button does your browser connect to YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). From then on YouTube, which belongs to Google, receives your IP address and technical details and may store data on your device under its own privacy policy. If you do not click, nothing is sent to YouTube.
Where your data is processed
Cloudflare, Resend and YouTube are international companies with servers in many countries. Your data may therefore be processed outside Switzerland and the EU, including in the USA. Where providers are outside Switzerland or the EU, we rely on the safeguards they offer, such as standard contractual clauses, but a data centre in Switzerland is not guaranteed.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the GDPR, you may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a usable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Because we store almost nothing, there is usually little to give or delete.
You can also complain to the data protection authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or the authority of your own country.
Changes
If the website changes in a way that affects your data, we update this page and the date above.
